What is a difference between 2021 Ford F-150 & 2021 Ram 1500

If you are looking for a tough and rugged pickup truck, there is a good chance that you have come across a Ford F-150. The F-150 has been the best-selling pickup truck in North America for decades. And once you look at all of the standard features that come in this stunning vehicle, it is not hard to see why. While this truck is obviously impressive, it does have some stiff competition. The Ram 1500, for instance, is one of the F-150s toughest competitors. In order for you to decide which one would be best for you, we have decided to do an in-depth comparison of the 2021 Ford F-150 and the 2021 Ram 1500.

Exterior Style

The Ford F-150 comes equipped with a rugged and muscular exterior design. The large front grille is flanked by two large and bright LED headlights. The rest of the body features well-defined lines and elegant curves that help to give it a more muscular appearance. The entire truck is between 209 inches and 251 inches long. And has a width of anywhere between 80 inches and 86 inches. To help ensure that you have enough space to haul all of your cargo, the F-150 offers three different bed sizes: 5.5-feet, 6.5-feet, or the available 8-foot bed.

The Ram also has a rugged and tough exterior appearance. However, it is slightly smaller. The 1500 is anywhere from 229 inches to 233 inches long. It also has a width of only 82 inches. When it comes to bed sizes, the Ram 1500 only offers two sizes: 5.7-feet or the 6.4-foot bed.

Interior Features

The Ford F-150 offers a versatile and practical interior. The cabin comes standard with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment display, but a 12-inch touchscreen display is also available. Both displays come standard with Ford's intuitive SYNC system as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The F-150 also provides a spacious interior that offers plenty of legroom and headspace to all occupants. There are also several storage compartments located throughout the cabin to help ensure that all of your items are able to stay safe and out of the way.

The Ram 1500 has a similar interior. The truck comes standard with an 8.4-inch touchscreen display that comes standard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The cabin also provides a spacious front seat that provides plenty of legroom.

Power and Performance

Both the Ram 1500 and Ford F-150 offer several engine options to choose from. However, when properly equipped, the F-150 is able to tow up to 13,200 lbs. and has a payload capacity of 3,270 lbs.

In comparison, when the Ram 1500 is equipped with its most powerful powertrain, it is only able to tow up to 12,750 lbs. and has a payload capacity of 2,320 lbs.
